Laura Finmand, Neighbor

Hi there, my name is Laura Finmand and I'm a Senior Communication Studies major at Sonoma State University and I'm eagerly counting down the days until graduation in May.

I orginally hail from Folsom, Ca. As a teenager I was in and out of softball games, dane practices as and countless performances with the El Dorado Musical Theater. My love for the arts is what first sparked my interest in writing my senior year of high school, and I haven't looked back since. 

During my time at SSU I've experienced everything from Greek Life to student leadership and even working as an advisor in the campus's main advising center. However nothing has been more fulfilling than my time spent writing for my communications classes and my personal blogs. 

In addition to my work for Patch, I also double as the Editor in Chief of the Sonoma State STAR award-winning student newspaper. I previously served as A&E Editor for three semesters as well.
