As a feminist, I have to say that this young woman's actions are part of the problem with the rapeRead More culture issue. I read the report, and it sounds as if she was very drunk and that, in the beginning, there was mutual consent. She is lucky that she was with men who realized how far gone she was and took her to the hospital. Just because she doesn't remember doesn't mean something did. I will defend a woman all day, but there simply is no evidence that she was raped. The guy isn't always guilty.

Those are fine words Gaia, but this falsely accusing innocent men has got to stop. Thank God forRead More Kaepernick he was rich and famous. I mean what if the guy would have been poor or worse yet, what if a white girl accuses a black guy. Personally this type of behavior; an American Phenomenon, scares the bajesus out of me as a black man. Now that she has done such a dastardly misdeed, my opinion about other cases such as MIke Tyson, Kobe Bryant, Clarence Thomas, even Emmett Till; if I had a little doubt about their innocence (save Emmett Till) it has dissipated and all belief in their innocent has taken its' place

I'm sorry, where in the article does it say she accused anyone of rape? Does it say it in the policeRead More report? I don't know what the TMZ article claimed, but surely the woman in the hospital isn't responsible for what some rag runs, claiming to be the truth. Fact is, none of us except the participants know what happened, and I don't get from what I've read that the woman accused anyone of anything...

another great example of coddled athletes who have no recourse for their actions. this is what theyRead More are showing young aspiring athletes that this is the kind of conduct that is acceptable! Look at the how many proffesional athletes in trouble with the law over the last decade! When do we say enough. It should start at HS level. Any unacceptable behavior you dont play! Simple.

What sort of backwards, community do we live in? I understand we are a small town but must we reallyRead More have a small town mentality that boys will be boys? The fact that nobody was arrested just blows my mind. This kind of behavior is unacceptable on any level and the fact that we turned a blind eye because they're spoiled football players is just appalling.

This article means a lot to me. I am glad the boy is alright and that the right people were there. IRead More am 16 now but when I was 7 I broke my arm on the playground at a school in Lafayette and was driven to the same exact hospital. I just thought this was ironic. I remember that night vividly because the nurse woke me up at 2 then I got a really delicious breakfast that next morning. Glad you pulled through buddy!

In New Orleans in 1990 the restaurants were so crowded, you had to share tables and we were lucky to sit with Denver fans the day before for lunch and dinner. Yea, I think the Patch is beginning to be desperate for traffic with a headline like this with theRead More big SF logo and all. Sorry I included myself in the " hits" traffic.
