Nice try at a press release published as a news story. But if the Press Democrat reporter had done…Read More even a cursory search of the promotion company,WillPowerLLC, they would have found that this limited liability company is related to Joe Peatman. And-in terms of making things happen-Joe Peatman.essentially means Joe Peatman Sr. And it's no secret that Joe Peatman (the daddy) and Gabe Myers' father David Myers, are both affiliated with the law firm Dickenson,Peatman and Fogarty,
Given that it takes both money and connections to make a concert like this happen,my guess is that it's daddy's money and connections that are behind this "Field of Dreams" event. Only, given the reputation of said principals in the law firm, (Joe Peatman, retired) and David Myers (active), I would label this probably more of a probable "Field of Schemes" rather than "Field of Dreams."
Regardless, we the citizens need to see a contract that states just what the liability requirements (bonds, insurance, etc.) are for the promoters, whether they have met those requirements and if there were any exceptions made by the CA state fair board in exempting the promoters from any standard contractual liability obligations when they agreed to this event. That's all.

@Judd, I'm not scared I just find ur direct line of questioning disrespectful and antagonistic…Read More rather than debating issues ur attacking.
I just recently learned about STC101 while researching Darius Anderson. I support their efforts to close the RP casino. I don't know anything about the other efforts you refer to. We share a common interest. I'm a Sonoma Valley guy but shop in RP. I am not a NIMBY I don't want casinos anywhere in California but if I have to I prefer very rural isolation.
So ur answer is NO.

Hey! Hutchinson! What's it going to take to get you to respond to the repeated query regarding your…Read More association with the STC101 clown car? I.e., were you an insider in on the recent FIGB fear mongering with Worthington, trolling as "Gene Ricky Shaw," and others with Stop The Casino 101 Cabal (def: conspiratorial group of plotters)?

Granted, my response therein (which BTW immediately frightened you off the thread) to your prior comments was a bit harsh: "IMO, debating sociology, economic issues, racism, and perception of evil with a NIMBY credit banker is akin to discussing nutrition with an 800-pound McDonalds exec." But all I'm seeking is a simple yes or no response. So man up: Were you an insider in on the recent organized fear mongering with STC101? Yes or no?

Does the Huffington Post decide Patch content? I notice Arianna Huffington is still the…Read More editor even though it was sold to AOL. Is that why we picked up this article? If you read the comments from the original article they are nothing short of disgusting.
I think what each community wants from Patch is different. On the website for the Huff Post drinking article they could care less about the impact of drinking games on teen alcohol use. It is a totally different audience from Novato or even Marin.

I also agree as well as cannot believe they post basically that staying home means you live in…Read More poverty. Kind of racists. A lot of people choose to be responsible and drink at home rather than drive. I know they wrote" lassitude or poverty", but we all know what they are leaning to.

A poor journalistic choice: I absolutely agree with the comments above. There are more creative ways…Read More to enjoy the oscars. Emphasizing "drinking to excessiveness" is not the best choice. Think about your choice of words for a better headline.
