Public Safety Hosting Blood Drive This Saturday

The volunteer effort is at the fire station on Country Club Drive, near Golf Course, Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Donors will be given commemorative T-shirts as a thank you from local fire departments.

The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety this Saturday is asking for the community's help. For the sixth year in a row, local police and fire officials are hosting their "Bucket Brigade Blood Drive," aimed at getting blood donations for the Blood Centers of the Pacific.

Lt. John Marty called it "a gift of life."

These vital blood donations are used to help replenish diminishing supplies for hospitals and those in need, he said in a statement. Fire departments countywide participate in the annual blood drive.
