With help from Ms. Cobert's 2nd Grade class at Evergreen Elementary School, the Patch posed a question: What would you do if you were president of the United States?
Their responses were a wonderful mix of different ways to be helpful to people. Also many of them seem to feel that cars are much too expensive. But each answer is very honest. Take a few minutes to read and enjoy their responses as we look at things from a child's perspective.
Here are a few of our favorites:
"If I were President I would do many things. I would make everything less expensive like costumes. I would give people money. I would give people jobs." ~AnaDelia T.
"If I were President I would do many things. If I were President I would fight with troops. If I were president I would have a pet monkey. If I were President I would give the poor people money." ~Juan P.
"If I was President I would do many things. I would lower the price on gas. I would make more cities. I would want to be on the one dollar bill." ~Kameron L
"If I were President I would do many things. I would make everything less expensive. I would pay the teachers more money. I would make more parks." ~Kanaea A.
Great sentiments by all of the kids!
