Rohnert Park Approves Sewer Connection for Casino

The City Council voted 4-0 to approve a sewer hook-up to protect local ground water

While many residents were opposed to the vote, the city council based their decision on protecting the city's groundwater supplies. Had the sewer connection not been approved the alternative was a wastewater treatment plant that would be located next to Rohnert Park.

Bad Move, Rohnert Park!! If they had needed to build their own treatment plant next to their casino it would have made the casino less attractive. You are enabling them!!

Ah the ignorance comes forth yet again. It would have made virtually no difference. Hopland has a very well run sewage treatment plant on site not just for the Casino but for their on site housing. The plant has had no effect on the amount of patron's to the casino.

We already pay a premuin for sewer in Rohnert Park, how much will this increase our bills now?!?

I disagree, Tricia. This agreement has the casino pay for its own costs for service PLUS additional 10%! It helps the residents of RP pay LESS for our sewer service.
