Potholes Be Gone: Rohnert Park Planning Major Street Repairs

Finally…some good news about local streets.

Starting this summer, the city of Rohnert Park will begin an ambitious project that will seal cracks and fill potholes on some 80 local streets.

Many of the major thoroughfares are on the list, including Rohnert Park Expressway, Commerce Boulevard and Redwood Drive as well as smaller residential streets and cul-de-sacs.

Then in 2014, the oldest streets on the list will get a slurry seal, a thin coating of asphalt meant to “rejuvenate” the pavement.

The project cost is estimated at $800,000, with work to be done by MCK Services.
