It's Your Voice, Let it Be Heard As a Rohnert Patch Blogger

The pages of Rohnert Patch are open for community voices like yours. Use them to your advantage!

What are you passionate about?!

Whether its cars, high school sports, Rohnert Park city government, music, Sonoma County-wide issues, crime, video games, television shows, community events, shopping, movies, children's activities or cooking, we want you to share it with us.

Rohnert Park Patch features Local Voices, a platform that allows for community bloggers to become part of the site. We would like you, dear reader, to be part of this exciting feature.

This is not a reporting JOB. This is a blogging opportunity. Write what you want to say, when you want to say it. Do it on your schedule, whether that's posting multiple enties per day or a couple times a month.

Rohnert Patch won't own your blog, use it on other sites, post your blog on Facebook or Twitter, share it with whoever you see fit. Much like The Huffington Post has done, Rohnert Patch is providing local bloggers an online platform to have their words seen by a larger audience.

My role as editor would be to review blog entries submitted to Rohnert Patch to ensure quality. I may make small spelling, grammar and style changes to help your blog shine.

Be interesting. Be provocative. Be yourself.

If you'd like to chat about the opportunity to share your unique voice with our readers, let me know by emailing carlos.villatoro@patch.com or by calling me at 707-718-8160.

*One more thing: Blogging on Rohnert Patch and comments will not be anonymous.

I have been blogging with Patch and it has been a great way to write about issues affecting students at SSU. Write what you want when you want, it is a great platform to do so.

This could be my opportunity to provide a tiny bit of conservative balance in a left-leaning world. How do i sign up? :)
