Drunk Driver Arrested After Hitting Home, Driving Away From Scene
Police said the driver hit a home on the 500 block of Alta Avenue.
Two men were arrested Friday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to Rohnert Park police. At around 2 a.m., police arrested Stephen Gasperoni, 33, at Alicia Park on charges of driving under the influence.
Officers were finishing the investigation when they heard another car accident and responded to the area. They discovered Ajay Butler-Jones, 22, driving away after striking a home in the 500 block of Ava Avenue, with significant frontend damage to his car.
As he was leaving the scene, Butler-Jones nearly struck two parked cars and sped through a stop sign, according to police. When he was pulled over, police detected a strong alcohol smell and charged him with a DUI.
