By Bay City News Service

Cal Fire was conducting overhaul operations this morning at the scene of a vegetation fire that spread to three homes near state Highway 116 on Monday afternoon.

The fire was reported around 4 p.m. on the south side of the highway near Stony Point Road in the Cotati area, Cal Fire Division Chief Eric Hoffmann said. The fire jumped the highway and spread to vegetation near three homes and an outbuilding near Stony Glen Lane, Hoffmann said.
