Police are searching for a suspect in connection with an armed robbery at a check cashing business in Santa Rosa Wednesday evening.
At approximately 5:20 p.m., Santa Rosa police received a report of an armed robbery at Advance America, located at 1791 Marlow Rd., just after a man confronted a cashier with a handgun and demanded cash, police said. Arriving officers searched the area for suspects but were unsuccessful. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash from the cashier and fled the store before police arrived, according to police.
The suspect is described as a white male adult between the ages of 30 and 40 years of age, with a gray beard and wearing dark clothing. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Santa Rosa police at (707) 543-3590.
