The suspect entered the Check-N-Go at 1331 Guerneville Road a few minutes before it closed at 6 p.m. and said he wanted to cash a check, Sgt. Clay Van Artsdalen said.
He was told to fill out a form and, just before the store closed, a teller asked him if he was finished, Van Artsdalen said.

The man then showed a firearm and demanded money, Van Artsdalen said. The tellers put money from the cash drawers into a bag, and the suspect told them to stand at the back of the business and face a wall.
He then left in an unknown direction, Van Artsdalen said.
Surveillance photos show the suspect is a white man about 50 years old, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 to 180 pounds. The suspect has brown and gray hair, a beard and mustache.
Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call (707) 543-3590.
