Rohnert Park Public Safety Receives $53,200 Grant to Increase Alcohol Enforcement

More money, more problems for those committing alcohol-related crimes.

The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety and the Cotati Police Department recieved a joint $53,200 by the State of California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. The grant will allow both departments to increase alcoholic beverage enforcement. 

This is the third such grant both agencies have recieved. The last time both agencies recieved money, one out of 10 adults were solicited by an underage decoy to purchase alcohol for a minor and 12 percent of all licensed establishments in the cities of Cotati and Rohnert Park sold alcohol to an underage decoy.
