Rohnert Park Man Arrested For DUI

One of three alcohol-related arrests in Sonoma County recently.

Two drivers suspected of driving while intoxicated were injured in crashes in Sonoma County Thursday night and early this morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

A third driver who was speeding but did not crash was arrested on suspicion of DUI, CHP Officer Jon Sloat said.

Erica Rosas, 35, of Windsor was extricated from her Chevrolet Cobalt after it overturned in the east lane of River Road east of Mirabel Road near Forestville around 9:10 p.m. Thursday, Sloat said.

Rosas was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where she was arrested on suspicion of DUI and released to the hospital for treatment, Sloat said. She was driving on a license that was suspended for multiple traffic violations.

Alcohol is suspected in the crash that injured Dylan Vonlahr, 21, of Santa Rosa around 2:20 a.m. today on Petaluma Hill Road north of Crane Canyon Road, Sloat said.

Vonlahr's Honda Passport suddenly swerved off northbound Petaluma Hill Road and struck a tree on the west side of the road, Sloat said. Vonlahr suffered major injuries and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. A chemical test to determine if he was intoxicated is pending. Vonlahr had multiple convictions for traffic violations.

Also around 2:20 a.m. today, a CHP officer stopped the driver of a Honda Accord that was traveling 85 mph in a 55 mph construction zone on southbound U.S. Highway 101 at Wilfred Avenue in Rohnert Park, Sloat said.

The driver, Jeffrey Fuller, 28, of Rohnert Park was arrested on suspicion of DUI and violating his probation for a DUI conviction in 2009, according to Sloat. Fuller also has multiple traffic violations.

The CHP will have extra officers on patrol this weekend at a wine barrel tasting event in the Healdsburg area and will conduct a DUI checkpoint tonight, Sloat said.
