James McKillop, a 53 year-old Rohnert Park resident, was arrested January 29 for attacking a neighbor with a weighted walking cane following a dispute over cigarette smoke.  The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical treatment.

An 18-year-old Rohnert Park man was arrested after he went into the old Gold Ridge Elementary School on January 29. Police say he wanted to skateboard on the gymnasium stage. 

A residential burglary was reported January 29 on Mathias Place. No further information is available.

Theft from a car was reported January 29 on Cristobal Way.

A resident of Genesis Court reported on January 28 that someone had stolen their debit card and was fraudulently using their information.

A theft from a car parked on Santa Cruz Way was reported January 28.

Another theft from a car and theft of vehicle parts were reported January 27 on Redwood Drive.

The writer acknowledges no "cost" to the local community for its globalized retailing.Read More Walmart produces some jobs, and undercuts jobs at other local employers who can't compete with those low prices. THINK globally, but ACT locally! Purchase from those who keep more dollars in our community! That ain't Walmart!
