Police: Woman, 18, Arrested After Ramming Boyfriend's Car

Brianna Cruz of Rohnert Park was jailed Friday night in Petaluma after police said she chased and rammed her boyfriend's car with her own, injuring his female passenger. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

An 18-year-old Rohnert Park woman was arrested in Petaluma Friday night on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after chasing her boyfriend's car with her own and ramming his several times, according to a press release from the :

Shortly before 9 p.m., according to the press release,

Brianna Cruz was driving in Petaluma when she saw her boyfriend driving in another vehicle. She began chasing him and he attempted to evade her for approximately 10 minutes as they drove through Petaluma. Ultimately, at the intersection of Madison Street and Ellis Street, she intentionally rammed her vehicle into his several times. A female passenger in the boyfriend's vehicle suffered minor injuries. She was treated at and later released. 

Cruz was arrested for two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the Sonoma County Jail. There was significant damage to both vehicles and they were towed from the scene.
