Police Still Hunting for Hotel Sexual Assailant – Sketch Released

Police are searching for a suspect who sexually assaulted a housekeeper at a Doubletree Hotel in Rohnert Park last Friday afternoon.

Rohnert Park Police are continuing to hunt for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a housekeeper at the Doubletree Hotel on Sept. 13, releasing a sketch of the alleged assailant in the hopes of landing tips to aid their search.

The incident occurred at around 3:45 p.m. that day when a female housekeeper was attacked while cleaning one of the hotel rooms, tied up and sexually assaulted, Detective Tara Douglas said.

The victim told police she first saw the suspect walking toward the hotel from the area of Rogers Plaza at 101 Golf Course Drive. While she was cleaning the patio of a first floor room, the assailant grabbed her from behind and put a knife to her throat, Douglas said.

The man forced her through the sliding doors into the room and told her not to scream, tied her up and began to sexually assault her, she said. The victim was able to fight the suspect off and started to scream, police said.

According to police, the suspect ran out of the room back in the direction of Rogers Plaza. The housekeeper was able to call for help and another employee reported the assault to police.
