I was wondering the same. Perhaps this needs to be delved into more deeply.

I beleive it was Valero Security, that called Benicia PD to where the subject was. He was on Public land, but I'm sure that once the PD showed up, it was a simple case of "you'll stop taking pictures and destroy the ones you have - BECAUSE I TOLD YOU TO!!!" Benicia Police Officers are often dispatched to stop people from taking pictures, and seem to have a 100% success rate. In response to this, I'm gonna strongly suggest a PHOTO CONTEST. The theme: "Refining Benicia" The rules will be simple. Everyone may submit only one photo, and the only restrictions are that the photo must be taken within a pre-determined 24hour period. (and vehicles must be legally parked, no vehicles may be parked on Valero property, photo's must not be used for terrorist purposes, etc...) The prize? Bragging rights, and....... EVERYONE that participates, will know that they've done their part - to ensure the freedom of photographing whatever you want, whereever you want, whenever you want. If I get a strong response to this idea, I will move foward with the idea. What do you think????
