Police Discover Marijuana Growhouse on Gillpepper Lane

Authorities Thursday night said they were awaiting a search warrant for the house, where they have initially found a "large amount" of marijuana or hash.

Rohnert Park police are investigating a growhouse that they discovered Thursday afternoon in G section, following a 911 call made by a 19-year-old Southern California man who said he'd been tased.

The victim, Alexander Sanders, said he and his brother, who lived at the residence on the 1300 block of Gillpepper Lane, got in a physical altercation with his brother — identified as David Sanders, 22, of Rohnert Park. During the fight, Sanders' roommate tased the younger brother, who then called the police. Officers said the assailant is Daniel Smith, 22, also of Rohnert Park.

During a sweep of the home for home for any more people, police found what they said appeared to be a "large amount" of concentrated marijuana, or hash. Authorities were securing a warrant Thursday night to search the entire residence.
