At round 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, deputies received several 911 calls and went to Hall Road near Willowside Middle School and Summerfield Waldorf School, according to Lt. Steve Brown. The deputies found a man walking around the street covered in blood, Brown said.

Deputies determined that the victim was involved in a fight that turned into a stabbing in a home on Hall Road, Brown said. The schools in the area were immediately locked down as the search for the perpetrator began.

They determined that the man had taken off with the cutting instrument in a car, so the the lock down was lifted. The victim sustained major injuries and was transported to the hospital via ambulance with major injuries, Brown said. The victim is expected to survive, he said.
