A fire in a small storage shed where three marijuana plants were growing spread to another unoccupied building in unincorporated Sonoma County on Wednesday night, Central Fire Assistant Chief John Lantz said this morning.
A female occupant of a home on property at 655 Hunter Lane, between Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park, reported the fire at 9:40 p.m., Lantz said. The main house on the property was not threatened by the blaze. The fire also burned vegetation but was controlled within an hour, Lantz said.

Twenty-six firefighters from Central Fire, Santa Rosa, Rincon Valley, Rohnert Park and Rancho Adobe responded to the blaze, which started in the 300-square-foot shed, Lantz said.
