A string of bank robberies inside supermarkets in the North Bay continued with a heist in Novato this afternoon, police said.

A man robbed a US Bank branch in the Safeway store at 5720 Nave Drive around 1 p.m., police said.

The suspect, a white man who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, gave the teller a demand note and ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash, Novato police said. The robber did not show a weapon.

The suspect's description is similar to that of a man who robbed US Bank branches at Safeway stores in Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park on Thursday.

In addition, a man described as Hispanic robbed a Chase Bank in the Raley's store on Fulton Road in west Santa Rosa on Feb. 1, Santa Rosa police said.

US Bank has offered a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of anyone robbing any US Bank branch.

Novato police Lt. John McCarthy said detectives are investigating whether the robberies were committed by the same person, and they will be consulting with the other police departments this week.

The Festa Italiana was last weekend. It was OK, most food booths were ripoffs. Not enough tables orRead More food choices. Hardly any cars at the car show. I really hope they do better next year. I could be a great event with more planning.
