Armed Robbery at Check Cashing Store

Police are currently investigating the incident, which took place this morning.

A man walked in to Allied Cash Advance, a check-cashing and payday loan store located at 6406 Commerce Blvd. at 10:08 this morning, and robbed the store attendant at gunpoint — the second robbery in Rohnert Park within the last 24 hours.

Police, who were on scene in less than a minute, are asking for the public's help in locating the suspect. Officers describe the man as an adult male, five foot, six inches tall with a slim build. He was reportedly wearing a black baseball hat, pants and a jacket. Police said the suspect covered his face with a black and white scarf.

The suspect fled the area on foot. Allied Cash Advance is off of Commerce, near Hunter Drive. Police said no staff or customers were injured in the robbery.
