3 Arrested for Windsor Shootings, Also Suspected in Healdsburg Shootings Thursday Night

Gunfire reported on March Avenue and Mason Street, police said.

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of shooting a Rohnert Park man in the face in Windsor and are also suspects in two shootings in Healdsburg late Thursday night, a Sonoma County sheriff's sergeant said.

Several people called the Windsor Police Department around 11:50 p.m. Thursday to report gunshots and a male voice yelling around 11:50 p.m. at Jutta Way in Windsor, Sgt. Cecile Focha said.

A man then called 911 to report he had been shot in the cheek, and deputies found a vehicle with bullet holes at the intersection of Arata Lane and Brooks Road South, Focha said.

Deputies found the 32-year-old Rohnert Park shooting victim hiding in nearby bushes, and medics took him to a hospital for treatment.

One bullet was lodged in the man's jaw but he is expected to survive his injury, Focha said.

Deputies searched the area and found three males around 12:09 a.m. today who were walking in the area after abandoning their vehicle close by, Focha said.

One of the men was armed with a loaded gun, and deputies determined the men were involved in the shooting, Focha said.

The suspects, who were not identified, were arrested and taken to the sheriff's office in Santa Rosa for questioning.

The three men are also believed to be connected to two shootings that occurred in Healdsburg late Thursday night, Focha said.

Healdsburg police reported gunfire in the 400 block of Mason Street around 10:45 p.m.

Officers responded but found no suspects, witnesses or spent shell casings, police said.

Healdsburg police heard additional gunfire around 11:10 p.m. at the north end of town, and someone called 911 to report a residence in the 300 block of March Avenue was hit by bullets, police said.

The caller heard a vehicle speeding away from the scene.

Officers confirmed a drive-by shooting into the residence occupied by family members, including teens, had occurred, but no one was injured, police said.

Police found spent .45 caliber handgun shell casings in the street and bullet holes in the residence and its vehicles.

Police said there were no witnesses to the shooting, which is still under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call Healdsburg police at (707) 431-3377.
