The duo's alleged crime spree touched the City of Rohnert Park when they broke into a locked vehicle and took a wallet containing credit cards belonging to a Rohnert Park resident, a Sonoma County Sheriff's press release stated.

Wilson and his accomplice, whom police did not name, then allegedly used the victim's credit cards throughout various retail shops in the Santa Rosa area, according to the Sheriff's Department.

On Thursday, at 3 p.m., Wilson and his accomplice broke into a home on the 400 block of Greve Lane in Sonoma, police said. The homeowner arrived at the home at the time of the burglary and opened his garage door to find Wilson and the other alleged burglar inside the garage.

Police said that Wilson and his accomplice ran away while the homeowner called police to report the crime. The homeowner noticed that the duo had loaded up his Audi sedan with several items that they allegedly took from the home. The car was parked in his garage.

"The man called the Sonoma Police Department to report the incident," a Sheriff's alert read. "The Sonoma Police Department, along with deputies from the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office and the Sheriff's helicopter (Henry One) conducted a lengthy search for the two suspects, but they were not located. However, deputies found a van that was parked near the victim's house, which had been reported stolen earlier in the day from a Santa Rosa resident. The van and house were processed for evidence."

Police say the duo was not finished burglarizing the home, however, and returned to it at 1 a.m., Friday to steal the Audi sedan from the garage. Unbeknownst to the homeowner, Wilson and the other burglar had stolen the car keys while burglarizing the home on Thursday, police said.

"The victim called the Sonoma Police Department and another report was taken. The Audi was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System," a Sheriff's release said.

Then, at 2:37 p.m., an alert Sonoma County Sheriff's deputy saw the stolen 2002 Audi sedan traveling on Bennett Valley Road. The deputy requested backup and stopped the stolen vehicle on 4th Street in downtown Santa Rosa.

The deputies arrested Wilson, who was driving the car at the time of the vehicle stop and charged him with the aforementioned crimes.

Wilson was taken to the Sonoma County jail and had a bail amount placed on him of $80,000

Detectives from the Sonoma County Property Crimes Investigation Unit are presently following up leads on the second suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Sal Borruso at (707) 565-2185.
