What should Rohnert Park do with the Friendly City sign?

Recently we have been trying to determine what image would be a good representation of Rohnert Park for the Rohnert Park Patch's Facebook timeline. One of the pictures that received the most views, likes, and comments was the original, "Rohnert Park the Friendly City" sign that sits just off the freeway on the south end of town.

But many residents commented on Facebook that the sign needs to be updated, replaced, or even moved to a better location. So what do you think we should do about the sign? Is this something the city should look into to coincide with our 50th Anniversary Celebration in September?
