Thank You Voters, Congrats to the Victors

Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

Congratulations to my running mates for Cotati City Council!  In the end it wasn't very close (I am the 2.4 percent!), but I had a great time, and I thank those who voted - for any and all of us.

I thoroughly enjoyed walking the neighborhoods and talking with people - people who have serious concerns about the state of business in Cotati, and the

direction it's headed.

Measure U passed easily, so I hope our elected officials as well as paid staff will take that to heart and work towards a goal for Cotati that brings the community together.

I appreciate the opportunity and want to thank Tami and all at City Hall who helped me in a very last minute bid and education of city policies.  I'll continue to make my Cotati City T-Shirts, work to preserve and share the history of Old Redwood Highway, and if necessary, fight to keep our Sonoma Coast beaches free.

Sincerely,
Alden Olmsted

Majority in both state houses!, Thank you voters! Prop 13 will disappear faster than you can say Jerry Brown signed what!. Time to sell, contact your local realtor and ask what your property values will do once your realestate taxes skyrocket. But hurray! rents will go up for landlords. I know Santa Claus will pay your taxes.

The Festa Italiana was last weekend. It was OK, most food booths were ripoffs. Not enough tables orRead More food choices. Hardly any cars at the car show. I really hope they do better next year. I could be a great event with more planning.
