"Brigadoon" comes out of the mist in Rohnert Park

Rarely performed Broadway musical presented by Spreckels Theatre Company in October

ROHNERT PARK, CA - Following its critically acclaimed production of Mel Brooks' Broadway Musical "Young Frankenstein" - Spreckels Theatre Company brings the rarely performed Broadway musical "Brigadoon" to its main stage this fall.

The musical, with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, is presented Oct. 11 to Oct. 27, 2013 at Spreckels Performing Arts Center in Rohnert Park.

Gene Abravaya directs this beloved musical about a mystical Scottish village which only appears one day every hundred years. "Brigadoon" is discovered by two American tourists which sets into motion a love story of mystery and adventure.

With rousing dance numbers and soaring, spine-tingling score of memorable songs including "Once in the Highlands," "Come to Me, Bend to Me," "I'll Go Home With Bonnie Jean" and "Almost Like Being in Love" -  "Brigadoon" is a rare, enchanting and memorable theatrical experience for all ages.

Spreckles Theatre Company's artistic team returns for this "Brigadoon" production with musical direction by Cynthia Heath, choreography by Michella Snider, costume design by Pamela Enz and set design by Eddy Hansen. The production features the new Paradyne projection system, developed by Spreckels Performing Arts Center, combining still images and animations to create multiple backdrop effects.

The production features a large cast of North Bay performers including Tyler Costin, Lauren Siler, Sean O'Brien and Heather Buck.
