Why Not Go Irish?

This Saint Patrick’s Day luck is in your corner! Celebrate Irish folklore, music and spirits with your loved ones Monday, March 17th. There are many ways to celebrate the season with the one(s) you are caretaking. Here are a few of our favorite Saint Patrick’s Day tips and trivia:

 · Part of the fun is in decorating. Include your loved one in the hanging up of old or new “Irish” decorations. If you don’t have some, make them together. Get crafty: Pick up some green paper, and gold glitter and create your own shamrocks.

· Wear green. You and your loved one can dress festively in order to feel more connected and active with this cheerful holiday.

· Play traditional Irish music and do your best Irish jig. If you have a smart phone or internet access you can search for Saint Patrick’s Day songs on sites like Pandora and Youtube. Traditional CDs are always a good choice, too. Be sure to sing your Irish hearts out.

· Don’t forget the corned beef and cabbage! Actually, any green foods will do.

· Play an Irish trivia game. A good first question is: Who was Saint Patrick? Answer: St. Patrick was the patron saint and national missionary of Ireland. Also, legend has it that he drove snakes out of Ireland. To find more trivia ideas click here.

We hope you and your loved one(s) find four-leaf clovers of joy this year.
