Defending Your Life is a philosophical, humorous, romantic fantasy film about a man who dies and arrives in the afterlife only to find himself lodged in a motel in “Judgment City” where he must stand trial and justify his many lifelong fears in order to advance to the next phase of life. Or be sent back to earth to give it another try.

The film was written and directed by Albert Brooks who also stars. The cast includes Meryl Streep, Rip Torn, Lee Grant and Buck Henry.

Join us for a simple community meal before the movie.

Vegetarian soup, bread and wine will be provided.

Bring friends and family!

We’ll gather at 6:00 for the meal; the movie will begin around 7:00
