It seems at this point that the Graton Rancheria Casino will be built in Rohnert Park. As the battle rages there are two sides to the story; those who favor the casino for the positive impact on the economy versus those who are concerned over the quality of life impact that a business based on gambling would bring to the community.
But if (or when) the casino is finished another question is will you even go to it? With The 101 Casino in Petaluma and the River Rock Casino just north of Healdsburg what will be the big draw of this new facility compared to existing options?
Some locals have mentioned that the idea of an upscale restaurant could be a nice addition to the community. With the expected size of the casino and hotel there would be an assumption of a lounge or club facility along with the prospect of an entertainment venue for various acts. However with the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, numerous local clubs and lounges, and a bevy of well-rated eating establishments in the nearby cities how needed or wanted are these proposed facilities?
