Rohnert Park police this week into the killing of 20-year-old local Kevin C. Craft, who would have celebrated his 21st birthday May 1. Friends and family are organizing a fundraiser to honor Craft's memory and raise awareness about his death May 9 at Escape Paintball in Rohnert Park. 

This week, police released surveillance videos of people they believe may be somehow connected with the crime. .

Tens of cops showed up at Applebee's in Rohnert Park late last week for their annual "Tip a Cop" fundraiser. .

Also in police news, a Rohnert Park man is out on bail who was allegedly exposing himself to young girls near schools for the whole month of March, and some residents are upset they can't find out what the guy looks like. .

A local teacher this week created a Facebook page, called Our Schools+Our Community+Our Kids=Our Future. The page started with just a few followers, but now has 253 participating users. The participation sparked an idea for the teacher, Mark Galipeau, to host a town hall style forum at Spreckels May 11 to air thoughts, ideas and concerns about the district. It's open to the public and begins at 6:30 p.m. in Codding Theater.

Police are also , who apparently wrote several suicide notes and could be traveling with a gun. He was reported missing April 25.  

Don't miss the , a local nonprofit that organized seven projects Saturday, April 30 throughout Rohnert Park and Cotati where volunteers showed up to help people with disabilities, low income residents and the elderly with needed home repairs.

Also, Saturday night, about 300 people showed up at the Community Center to welcome 20 new inductees into the Rancho Cotate High School Hall of Fame. .
