Vote Here: Local Resident Enters Holiday Lights Contest for a Chance to Win $100K for Rohnert Park-Cotati Schools

The Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District has a good shot of winning Patch's "Deck the House" contest, thanks to local resident Scott Weaver, who has entered his house in the contest. Vote below!

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to win a $100,000 gift for the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District — we've got a good chace of winning, but the competition is mounting.

Scott Weaver has entered his house into the contest, with a video showing his decked-out lights display, on 1190 Cielo Circle. The grand prize really is $100,000, paid for by Patch. Make sure you vote, and tell your friends, relatives and neighbors to vote too. Go here to cast your vote. Once you get there, simply go to "Browse and Vote" and click on "vote for this house." So far, we've got two votes. Let's take that number into the thousands!

The schools are in dire need — enrollment continues to fall; until teachers and district employees gave back in the form of salaries and benefits, we faced a state-takeover, and there is less and less money for much-needed school supplies.

Patch.com launched a nationwide contest Dec. 8 to find the best-dressed home in its Patch communities this winter, no strings attached. Voting is open through Dec. 26. The winning entry will be forwarded to a national Patch judge that will select 24 finalists. Each finalist will receive $500 that they can apply to their December electric bill.

From Dec. 30 through Jan. 8 you will be able to vote for the Best Decked House in all of Patch. The grand prize winner’s school district will receive a $100,000 check from Patch.

If we win, what better gift could we give to local kids?
