Readers' Choice: Where is the Best Place to Celebrate St. Paddy's Day?

Rohnert Park Patch readers can decide if it's the corned beef and cabbage menu, the selection of ales or the party atmosphere that determines the best spot to be Irish for the day.

This week we're kicking off our St. Paddy's Day Readers' Choice contest — all about the best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day on Saturday, March 17. Numerous local pubs and restaurants have special events planned, so tell us your favorite spot. You can vote in the poll, tell us your pick in the comments or review or rate the business in our business directory.

The contenders are:

  • St. Patrick's Day Party. The spot is offering up $8.95 all you can eat corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, butter carrots, Irish stew, mushy minty peas, Emerald Isle salad with green goddess dressing and homemade soda bread. Also Guinness & Black and Tan specials, Jameson and Baileys specials, a showing of the epic Irish movie “The Quiet Man” and decorations and giveaways. For more information contact 707-665-0260.
  • St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at Friar Tuck’s in Cotati. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friar Tuck’s is hosting a music and dinner celebration. Corned beef and cabbage will be served all day. The bar will also have drink specials, party favors and lots of beer. For more information call 707-792-9847.
  • in Rohnert Park is serving up corned beef and cabbage all day, along with Irish stew. This local spot opens early, at 10 a.m. Food will be served until 6:30 p.m., and the bar's open till bar time. For more information call 707-585-1079.
  • Tradewinds in Cotati. This local spot is hosting the band, "Bobby Young's Project" on St. Patrick's Day. Come out for food and drinks! For more information contact 707-795-7878.
