Reader's Choice: Best Local Park?

Weigh in by casting your vote in the poll below, and rating the spot in our local director of business listings.

This week, with a node to summer, we're setting out to find out about Rohnert Park's parks!

Parks are such a huge park of the city — each neighborhood, after all, was built with open space as a core feature. Not only does it make Rohnert Park's neighborhoods — from A section to H — safer, it creates amazing gathering places for after school hangouts, weekend picnics and dog-walking paradises!

What do you think? When you moved here, did you consider the city's parks one if its greatest features? We're putting together a list to the best things about the city's parks, and some of the things other residents should be aware of — things like bathrooms locked, lit soccer fields at night and whether or not there's a baseball diamond.

Tell us in the comments below which park you like best, and what we should be aware of and why. And don't forget to rank the best one by voting in our poll, and posting a review on the parks pages, which are linked to below. Here's what we got. As always, let us know if we've forgotten somewhere and we'll add it to the list.

te Angela Hart 12:44 pm on Monday, May 21, 2012 I'll kick off the voting this week...don't usually vote, but I'm such an avid parks user here! I love to take my dogs to Sunrise Park, Magnolia Park and Honeybee, but I have to say Colegio Vista Park is my fave! (Also love Crane Creek, but don't go enough.) I love that Colegio Vista has a huge open field, and my dogs usually find other dogs to socialize with! If We're lucky, they'll little league practice in and get some good petting. What are your favorites?
