Last Chance: Summer Reading Program, Cotati Market and More!

Our Last Chance feature lets you know about important deadlines during the week of June 4 to June 10.

1. The Summer Reading Program launches this Tuesday at the Rohnert Park-Cotati Regional Library. Starting at 10 a.m., come in with your child and sign them up for the annual summer program. This is a great way to encourage reading during the summer break.

2. The Cotati Farmers market makes its triumphant return this Thursday! The market is held at La Plaza Park and runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Music by the Rotten Tomatoes! There will be food, produce, crafts and stuff for the kids along with a bookmobile.

3. Peggy Sue's All-American Cruise 2012 hits Santa Rosa this week with a great charity event that runs from Thursday to Sunday. Things kick off on Thursday with the Cruise-in and the Poyntlyss Sistars band playing from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday has a chili cook off to go with beer & wine tasting and even more events Saturday and Sunday. 4. Friends of the Library will be having their Spring Book Sale this Friday and Saturday at the Rohnert Park-Cotati Regional Library. Thousands of books will be available at prices that are hard to believe. The sale runs Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 3:30 p.m.

5. Higher Vision, a one day awareness gathering, will take place this Saturday only at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Touring artists, sustainable growth vendors, speakers, food, and more will be taking place at this unique event. Things start at 11 a.m. and run until after midnight. 6. The Petaluma City Ballet presents their dance show titled "Under the Sea" this weekend at Spreckels Performing Arts Center. The show will run on Sunday at 1:30 and 6 p.m. as well as Monday at 6 p.m. For additional information including ticket prices please contact them at 588-3434.
