Fourth of July Festivities Around Sonoma County

With the  upon us, it is a great time to schedule your events ahead.

So much to see and do; try something different this year. Sonoma County towns all have such a different feel to them.

Here's a day-by-day guide of some selected events for this Fourth of July weekend:

 July 2 — Fireworks, Family & Fun at Bodega Bay

Celebrate Independence Day at Bodega Harbor Yacht Club, 565 Smith Brothers Rd. www.BodegaHarbourGolf.com. Fee includes entry to event, barbecue buffet, free parking, live music and cash bar. Tickets will be sold for bounce house, face painting and balloon animals. Limited seating available. Reservations required. Fireworks start at sundown. 7 p.m., dinner from 7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. $20/$10 Ages 7-12/under 6 eat free. Call 707-875-3538 for more information.

July 2 — Monte Rio 4th of July Fireworks & Parade of Lites

Over the River, aka the Monte Rio 4th of July Fireworks and Parade of Lites, is a one of a kind event. Monte Rio. Free at dusk. Call 707-865.9956 for more information.

July 3 — Guerneville Independence Day Celebration

Downtown Craft Fair on the Plaza from 10 a.m.-6p.m., Russian River Rotary’s barbecue at Lark's parking lot, chicken or pulled pork sandwiches, hotdogs and hamburgers and beer/wine bar from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. Kids activities and block party in downtown. Pick a spot in the Plaza, on the pedestrian bridge or along Main Street for fireworks over the river at dusk. 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Free. Call 707-869-9000 for more information.  

July 4 — Healdsburg American Legion Fireworks Show 

Annual crowd pleaser at the Healdsburg High School play fields. Local veterans from the American Legion Sotoyome Post 111 present their 21st annual fireworks show for the Healdsburg community. Fireworks starts approximately at 9:30 pm (right around dusk). , 1024 Prince St, Healdsburg, CA 95448 (Athletic Field). Open to all.                                                             

July 4 — Red, White & Boom, Santa Rosa

Kick back on the lawn and enjoy one of the largest fireworks displays in the North Bay. Picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs welcome. No alcohol or glass containers, pets tents or canopies allowed through the gate. Food booths, entertainment and more. Sonoma County Fairgrounds, Santa Rosa. Cost for adults is $7, $3 ages 6-12, free ages 0-5. Gates open 4 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Call 707-545-4200 for more information.

July 4 — Kenwood Fourth of July Hometown Parade

Come celebrate hometown patriotic pride that only our little town can supply! The parade starts 10 a.m. Mon, July 4 after the 7 a.m. pancake breakfast provided by Kenwood Community Church and the 7:30 a.m. footrace. Parade circles around Kenwood Plaza Park on Warm Springs Blvd. Parade-10 a.m., Breakfast-7a.m., Race-7:30 a.m. Call 707-833-6410 for more information. 

July 4 — City of Sonoma 4th of July Old Fashioned Parade & Celebration: Saluting Community Traditions

Sponsored by the Sonoma Community Center, join Sonoma for a day filled with fun in the Plaza including an eclectic parade, food, live music and more. Fireworks at Vallejo's Field at dusk complete this Sonoma tradition. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information call 707-938.4626 ext. 1.
