Five Things You Need to Know This Week: Sept 12-18

The last "Wiggle Time?" Rolling bowling fun and more!

1. Tuesday might be the last Wiggle Time at the . If you are a fan make sure to stop by at 10:30 a.m. with your 1-2 year olds for some fun in the children's section. To help the library staff, please try to space out library returns so the staff is not overtaxed logging in books after being closed for two days.

2. This Thursday is the last Farmer's Market of the season in Cotati. But, as always, they are going out with a bang! Local music and a juicy red tomato festival will highlight the festivities as summer fades into fall. There is always plenty of fun for everyone with fresh produce and kid's activities. The market starts at 4:30 p.m. in La Plaza Park.

3. On Friday at the Rohnert Park-Cotati Regional Library you can enjoy a commemorative program about author Tony Hillerman. Local author Margaret Murray will present a program about the works of Hillerman, which include detective novels centering on the Navajo Tribal Police. Singing, drumming and a culture video will be part of the show starting at 2 p.m.

4. This Saturday at is a "Join a Youth League Day." From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. it will be fun family time at the bowling alley. People who sign up for a league will receive two free games of bowling. For the family there will be a jump house, dunk tank and rock band cranking out tunes. In case you didn't know, Winter Junior Leagues start at the end of this month for kids as young as 4 years old.

5. Much Ado About Sebastopol on Saturday at Ives Park. There will be a family friendly Renaissance Fair from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the park. Costumes are not required but are very fun to wear. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for kids with proceeds benefitting the Sebastopol Educational Foundation. Come All Ye seeking good family fun!
