Five Things You Need to Know This Week: June 13 – June 19

1. Summer is finally here! Even though the has started up, that doesn’t mean that will slow down! Featuring some great local eateries on wheels as well as fresh home grown produce, this is a weekly event not to be missed. Enjoy the nice weather and some acoustic guitar music while you buy produce or sample various delights for lunch 10 a.m. to 3p.m.

2. Having your children vaccinated is extremely important. If money is an issue or you have insurance problems, make sure to take advantage of a great program provided by the Jewish Community Free Clinic. On Tuesday, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. come down for the Vaccines for Children Program. A parent or legal guardian must accompany the child and don’t forget the immunization card!

3. This Wednesday at the , come see Python Ron’s Reptile Kingdom! Starting at 6:30 p.m., kids can get up close and personal with amazing critters from around the world! This exotic safari trip is part of the Sonoma County Library’s 2011 Summer Reading Program. Come on down and check it out!

4. Due to rain earlier this month, the Wee Walk will be happening this Saturday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. What is the Wee Walk? It’s a great time for kids with a jumpy, obstacle course, giant slide, and more! For more information visit the ELI Website and help out with this fundraising event.

5. All that Jazz? It’s time for the 31st Annual Cotati Jazz Festival! This Saturday at La Plaza Park in downtown Cotati come out for the ‘Biggest little jazz festival in Sonoma County.’ It runs from noon to 7 p.m. and there is free admission to all venues! The venues are all with walking distance of the park so grab some comfy shoes and bebop on down.
