Five Things You Need to Know This Week: Aug 1-7

Nice weather, Tasty Tuesdays and outdoor Shakespeare!

1. August 1 marks the that affects our local Rohnert-Cotati Regional Park library, as all other county libraries. Sadly that means the library will be closed on Mondays now with reduced hours and programs.

2. Lots of sun this week, with temperatures in the '80s! So how should you celebrate this wonderful occasion? Why by visiting the hottest lunchtime ticket in town! continues to be a great spot to hang out on Tuesday and sample some excellent fare. It happens every Tuesday at the Rohnert Park Community Center Complex from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Check it out!

3. Sonoma County Fair is rocking all this week (except Monday). Play the ponies, watch a show or just take the kids on the rides. More information is available at the Fair website . Only a week and a half left to grab a funnel cake and hit the rides on the fairway!

4. The Narrow Way Stage Company presents William Shakespeare's "Merry Wives of Windsor" this weekend at . Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. or Sundays at 5 p.m. with tickets $22 each. This play will be performed on the lawn so bring blankets to sit on and warm clothes if the weather turns cold.

5. The Marin Dance Theatre will present "Summerfest 2011" this Saturday at Spreckels. With two performances at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., this is a dance performace not to be missed. This nonprofit school is a nationally recognized program for children ages 3 to 19. Tickets are $25 each and available at the Spreckels box office or online.
