Faces from the Past Looking for Names

Historian Tim Danisi is giving it one last try to find out the names of Rohnert Park and Cotati residents for a history book to be published this spring.

Rohnert Park's "official, but unpaid historian" (as he puts it) is still looking for help in identifying a few people in photos that will be published in a book on Rohnert Park's history, to be released March 19, 2012.

The week before Christmas, Tim Danisi was at the trying to close in on ID'ing several people in the photos, and while he had some success he's giving it one last try this week.

"I'll be at the this Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm," Danisi  said in a note to Patch, "and at the on Snyder Lane on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m."

The photo book is commissioned by Arcadia Publishing — a company that publishes local histories of cities throughout California — on the city's first 50 years. Upon publication "Rohnert Park" will be available at area bookstores including North Light Books near Oliver's Market in Cotati as well as at Costco, Barnes and Noble and other area locations.

But time for Danisi is running out: proofs will be sent to the publisher on Thursday, Dec. 28, with or without final identification.

You can call Danisi at 707-584-5477 or e-mail him if you know the identity of the people in these photographs.
