Another Bicycle Fatality, This One on Fountaingrove Parkway
Winding, hilly road near Round Barn in north Santa Rosa scene of early morning collision
A bicyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle in Santa Rosa this morning, according to Santa Rosa Police Dept.
The collision occurred sometime around 7:30 a.m. on Fountaingrove Parkway, Santa Rosa police Sgt. Clay Van Artsdalen said.
The Press Democrat reports that, according to a police officer, a dark blue pickup heading eastbound turned left at Thomas Harris Drive into the path of the cyclist, a middle-aged man whose identity has not been released.

The driver of the pickup stopped and the scene and was cooperating with the investigation.
Westbound Fountaingrove Parkway was closed in the area of Altruria Drive and motorists advised to use alternate routes.
