6-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized in Solo Biking Accident
Girl was airlifted to Oakland Children's Hospital, according to authorities.
A 6-year-old girl suffered a potentially severe head injury and was transported to a hospital by helicopter after she crashed her bicycle in Rohnert Park on Wednesday, police said.
Rohnert Park fire and police responded to the 700 block of East Cotati Avenue at 5:20 p.m. after receiving reports that the girl suffered a head injury in a bicycle collision.
The girl was not wearing a helmet and suffered what could be a severe head injury, police said.

A R.E.A.C.H helicopter landed in a field on East Cotati Avenue and Lancaster Drive. Surrounding streets were closed to accommodate the helicopter landing.
The girl was transported by the helicopter to Children's Hospital in Oakland. The severity of her injuries was unclear as of late Wednesday. Authorities declined to give her name because of her age.
