Blake's Auto Body gets a nod from Mercedes

Mercedes-Benz owners take pride in their automobiles as the brand resonates with quality, so when a vehicle needs to be repaired after an accident or vandalism it is important that a collision repair facility meet the owners’ high standards. Blake’s Auto Body, with locations in San Rafael, Novato, Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa, was recently recognized as one of a very few Mercedes-Benz Tier-2 Elite Certified repair locations. When Mercedes-Benz initially implemented its certification program about a decade ago, Blake’s was the only Mercedes-Benz Certified Collision Center. Only during the past year and a half has Mercedes introduced a more extensive program for aluminum structural repair.To qualify Blake’s had to pass an audit proving they have the appropriate equipment and the training. They were immediately certified although other companies had to complete multiple audits and corrective actions to receive the certification, explained Owen Baumert, chief operating officer for the auto repair chain that has been in business in the Bay Area the last 33 years. They are now only one of two Elite Aluminum Certified collision repair facilities in Northern California. According to owner Blake Andros, Blake’s Auto Body’s continued investment in the latest equipment and training made this possible. “We provide genuine Mercedes-Benz replacement parts, offer Mercedes-Benz approved equipment, dedicated fixture benches approved by Mercedes-Benz to assure assembly line accuracy and ASE, I-CAR and Mercedes-Benz certified technicians. Almost 1,000 Mercedes vehicles are repaired at Blakes’ shops each year.
