Rohnert Park to Recognize Prominent Business Leaders

The event begins at 5 p.m. tonight.

About 120 Rohnert Park community and business leaders will gather for a gala tonight at Sally Tomatoes beginning at 5 p.m.

The event, called “Salute to Community,” hosted by the Independent Business League, will spotlight prominent Rohnert Park citizens and organizations for their strides made towards strengthening the business community here. The awards are as follows:

  • Hall of Fame Award — Nominees must have been in business for at least 20 years and must demonstrate both economic and community development during their tenure in business.
  • Business Person of the Year Award
  • Sonoma State University Recognition Award
  • Independent Business of the Year Award
  • Corporate Business of the Year Award
  • Public Safety Office of the Year Award
  • Nonprofit of the Year Award
  • Local Business to School Assistance Gift

Cost is $22.50 per person, with $15.00 going to Sally Tomatoes and $7.50 to the Independent Business League for the cost of the event. Remaining proceeds will benefit the Cotati-Rohnert Park School District. Mingling and cocktail hour lasts from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m., and a buffet dinner begins at 6:15 p.m. The event is expected to end at 8:45 p.m.
