Photos: Rohnert Park Hooters Officially Open

"We wanted to have a presence in the North Bay — it's the perfect place to be," said Doug Kappy, Hooters' vice president of operations. "It's right by the college, and there's lots of national chains that do really well here."

Hooters opened officially Monday at 6099 Redwood Dr. in Rohnert Park. By dinnertime, lines wrapped around the front door, the bar was three-deep with people and the wait for a table was growing longer than 30 minutes.

Families, college students and couples packed the restaurant's tables and bar. We'd love to hear about your experience — did you go opening day?

Hooters will open at 10 a.m. the whole first week — from Jan. 30 through Feb. 5. Then hours are 11 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sundays.

I'd still love to see Trader Joe's here!

It's not anywhere near the colllege...And that is where it should have been..across from SSU...I don't know what the city was thinking allowing this to come to our city..and at an already busy intersection. As the other commenter said - a Trader Joes would have been a better option.
