The Buzz: What's Happening This Weekend

On Friday, get transported to Paris circa the 1960s, with a show by Les Filles Rouges Burlesque at the Mystic Theather in Petaluma. Put on by local dancer and teacher Melinda Miller-Klopfer, this European-style burlesque show is sophisticated, sexy and sure to be a crowd pleaser. $20. 8:30pm. 21 and over.

Or head to Aubergine to hear Revenant, a trio influenced by early British rock with a punk edge. Jeff Piccinini (aka Geoff Myles from British punk rockers Chelsea) is the bassist/frontman for a powderkeg of original rock compositions embellished with drummer Chris Carpiniello and Dave Deorsey on guitar. $6. 10:30pm. 755 Petaluma Ave. Sebastopol.

Bring the kids to meet the Easter Bunny, do crafts, get their face painted and jump around in the bouncy house at the 18th Annual Easter Children’s Fair at the Petaluma Premiout Outlets on Saturday. The Petaluma Animal Shelter Cuddle Shuttle will also be there in case you're looking for a new pet. 12-3pm. Free.

That evening, head to Redwood Café in Cotati to hear The Planbe Band. The group serves up an eclectic sound that can be described as Latin fusion jazz mixed with Thelonious Monk, Ramsey Lewis and Santana. $8. Starts 9pm. 8240 Old Redwood Highway, Cotati.

Or check out reggae artist Pato Banton at The Sunflower Center. Pato is not only a legendary reggae artist, but a human-rights activist and ordained minister as well. Together with his band, the Now Generation, Pato creates an intensely gratifying musical experience. $10. 9pm. 1435 N. McDowell Blvd. Petaluma.

On Sunday, take in a faculty recital at SSU’s Weill Hall. Horn player William Klingelhoffer of the San Francisco Opera and Ballet orchestras joins members of the Trio Navarro for the "Ezra" Horn Trio. $10. 4pm.
