Are you looking for something to do this weekend? Check out some of the things on the Rohnert Park calendar and see if there's something for you.

Friday:

It’s summer time and the market’s filled with all kinds of delicious fruits and veggies, food and entertainment! Tonight, Party on the Plaza features Half After, playing a fusion of sounds spanning three decades including compositions from the '70s, over the top rock anthems of the '80s and the guttural growls of '90s grunge and heavy metal. Grrrr.

If you go: The market and party is open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the City Center Plaza, 500 City Center Drive in Rohnert Park. Don’t forget your canvas or reusable bags!

Friday:

This summer, Brain Freeze Frozen Yogurt is showing a total of four movies for a family fun outdoor movie extravaganza! The movie “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” will be showing tonight. Enjoy some dinner, shopping and fun at the market, then finish your night with this fun outdoor movie. Get there a little early to park your car, "drive-in" style or find the perfect place for your blanket and chair.

If you go: This free movie event takes place following the Rohnert Park Friday Night Farmers Market on the vacant parcel on City Center Drive next to Brain Freeze Frozen Yogurt. There’s room for 50 cars to park, and a large area in front of the screen to sit and watch the movie. The farmers market is from 5 p.m to 8 p.m. with the movie starting around 8:30 p.m. Parking for the “drive-in” will open at 5 p.m. This event is made possible by generous local business sponsors.

Saturday:  

The 2nd Annual Rivertown Revival, returning on Saturday is a local, arts-based community festival that highlights the Petaluma River and all the amazing artists who call Sonoma County home. The event includes an art boat race and parade, floating art barges and an all-day festival, which includes local music, art, food and drink and over 40 fabulous local vendors. The Rivertown Revival is sure to be 2011′s most unique and creative summer festival!

If you go: This free event is from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. With limited parking in the area, guests are encouraged to utilize the massive bike valet organized by the Sonoma County Bike Coalition in the Steamer Landing parking lot.
