Friday:

It’s summer time and the market’s filled with all kinds of delicious fruits and veggies, food and entertainment! Tonight, Party on the Plaza features C.T. Cruisers playing their version of 21st Century funk, soul and classic R&B.

If you go: The market is open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the City Center Plaza, 500 City Center Drive in Rohnert Park. Don’t forget your canvas or reusable bags!

Thursday-Sunday:

Come see and hear the future of classical music! This concert will feature chamber music performances by our young violinists, violists, cellists and pianists. These young artists come from across the country and around the globe, and are the best players from their communities.

This concert features some of the best young violinists, violists, cellists, and pianists in solo performances. Our past students have included Chloe Hanslip, Daishin Kashimoto, and other rising stars.

If you go: These concerts are free but donations are welcome! Thursday and Friday concerts begins at 8 p.m., Saturday’s concert is at 3:30 p.m. and Sunday’s concerts are at 11 a.m. and at 2:30 p.m. in room 1028 of the Green Music Center's Education Wing on the campus of , 1801 E Cotati Avenue in Rohnert Park.

Saturday:

The Leprechauns, the Cotati/Rohnert Park American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay for Life team, invites you and your dog to join in a walk at Cotati’s La Plaza Park this Saturday to raise funds and awareness for American Cancer Society's fight against cancer, in both humans and in pets. Owners are asked to register their dogs for the walk, $25 for the first dog, $10 for each additional dog.

For each registered dog, the owner is entered into a door-prize drawing. Also, awards are given for the owner showing the most relay spirit and for the best relay dog. Included in the day will be demonstrations, contests, games, a professional photographer and a silent auction.

If you go: Registration starts at 8 a.m. with opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. Dogs must be leashed and the owners be prepared (bring those plastic bags) to clean up after their dogs.  La Plaza Park is at Old Redwood Hwy. and West Sierra Ave. in Cotati.

Saturday:

Support local art groups by coming to Art Attack, a concert to raise awareness for Sonoma's theatre arts. Local bands will be providing entertainment, additionally; there will be food, beer and wine booths, plus a bounce house for the kids! This family event is a great way to learn more about the various theatre arts group and companies. 

If you go: The concert is $5 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the , 5409 Snyder Lane in Rohnert Park.

Sunday:

Everyone is invited to help make 1,000 paper cranes for the Hiroshima/Nagasaki Remembrance Day, and also learn and make other origami designs.  No experience needed.  Admission is free and supplies will be provided by Sonoma County Japanese American Citizens' League (JACL). Henry Kaku, an origami master, will lead the paper crane instruction as well as teach other origami designs at this workshop. The cranes made at the workshop will be artistically assembled and presented at the Hiroshima/Nagasaki Remembrance Day at the Glaser Center in Santa Rosa on August 6.

If you go: This free event is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Enmanji Buddhist Temple, 1200 Gravenstein Hwy S, in Sebastopol.
