Friday-Sunday:

Narrow Way Stage Company presents William Shakespeare’s Merry Wives of Windsor. Sir John Falstaff is back from the wars and wooing two married women in Shakespeare's bawdy comedy of romantic trysts, betrayals and revenge!

If you go: Tickets are $22 for adults $17 for students/seniors and can be bought online here or by calling the box office at 707-588-3400. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7 p.m. while Sunday’s show begins at 5 p.m. This outdoor performance is on the lawn of the center, bring blankets to sit on and sweaters or coats if the temperature drops. is at 5409 Snyder Lane in Rohnert Park. The show continues Thursday through Sunday until August 21.

Saturday: 

Bring your friends and family over for this intimate, relaxed, and upbeat celebration with performances by The Devil Makes Three, The Mother Hips, Cornmeal, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, SambaDá, Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers, Big Light, Red Meat, Hillside Fire, Stompy Jones, Craig Horton, The Peter Welker Sextet featuring Jeff Oster, Smokehouse Gamblers, Fire Child, Skylark and Kala.

The Petaluma Music Festival is a family friendly event with a unique variety of indie-band music for people of all ages. This year’s festival will also feature fine beers from the Lagunitas Brewing Company, an extensive selection of award-winning Sonoma County wines and locally grown and produced cheese, bread, olive oil, and organic farm produce for tasting (separate purchase), a unique silent auction and celebrity autographed guitar raffle, a shaded VIP seating section with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer, as well as specialty foods and crafts from local businesses.

If you go: Tickets are $25, $75 VIP Premium (shaded reserved seating with complimentary wine, beer, and light appetizers), children 12 and under free with paying adult. Tickets can be bought by online here or at McNear's Restaurant, the Lagunitas TapRoom & Beer Sanctuary, the Last Record Store in Santa Rosa and People's Music in Sebastopol. Ticket prices increase $5 on day of festival. Gates open and music begins at 11 a.m., wine & food tasting from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds, 174 Fairgrounds Drive in Petaluma. Bring along a blanket or low chair and find a great place to watch these fantastic bands performing on three stages!

Saturday:

Marin Dance Theatre, a classical ballet training center in San Rafael, presents its annual Summerfest performance and includes new work choreographed by James Sofranko, a soloist with San Francisco Ballet Company, as well as new works by Lynn Cox, Vicki-Marie Bassing, Erin Derstine and Erica Rose Jeffrey. The dancers will perform an excerpt from the ballet “Paquita” and Pas de Trois from Die Puppenfee (The Fairy Doll).
